Metal Gear NES Speed Run

47 minutes may seem like a long time, but for tackling the original Metal Gear, it's damn impressive.

Damn, I don't know what's more impressive; this guy's mastery of the game or the fact that an action NES game takes 47 minutes to finish on speed run.

I've had the NES version since my childhood, and used to love it. However, after playing the MSX version packaged with MGS3: Subsistence, I realized just how inferior a port the NES version was.

I still like the NES version, but the MSX version blows it away.

It also came with the previously never ported Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

However, i like the NES music better.

I also haven't played fully through the MSX version, but as far as enemy intelligence, and difficulty, the MSX version is better IMO. I played the MSX version on it's original difficulty, and it's a lot harder then the NES version. Also, the enemies don't run at you in a straight line like morons in the MSX version eother.

However, the NES has the classic line:

"Uh-oh! The truck have started to move!"
