Weapon Wednesdays: Metal Gear Solid - DSR-1

In last week's edition of Weapon Wednesdays, I highlighted the Barrett M82, a sniper rifle that you can purchase from Drebin in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Well, that isn't the only sniper rifle you can get in the game. This week I bring you the AMP Technical Services DSR-1.
The DSR-1 is manufactured by the German company DSR-precision GmbH for police sharpshooters. It is also used by the German GSG 9 counter-terrorist unit.
Other organizations that use the rifle are the Estonia Police forces, Luxembourg Police forces, Malaysia PASKAU (Air Force), and the Spanish Special Operations Group.
Much like the FAMAS, the DSR 1 is uses a bullpup configuration, which means that the action and magazine are located behind the trigger. The barrel is free-floating, meaning that it doesn't touch the stock. This way, if anything happens to the stock (wood stocks can be affected by environmental conditions), it won't affect the accuracy of the rifle.
A tactical silencer is available for the rifle, but cannot suppress the crack a supersonic projectile makes. That silencer has be easily mounted in seconds due to a quick release lever.
The DSR 1 can be effective up to 1400m, depending on the type of cartridge used. It is also extremely accurate.
