Ryan Payton Goes Halo

Payton is the worried-looking bespectacled man in the back.

Ryan Payton, formerly of Kojima Productions, is working on a new Halo project. Hit the jump for details.

Rumor circulated a while ago, but today Microsoft Game Studio head Phil Spencer confirmed that Payton, along with others, have been hired to work on a yet-unconfirmed Halo project.

"Microsoft Game Studios is thrilled to have such talented people working to develop new and exciting projects within the Halo universe and supporting existing projects from studios like Bungie and Ensemble," Spencer said.

Payton left Kojima Productions in August due to family issues.
