Metal Gear Solid Mobile Now Available

Last month we reported on Metal Gear Solid Mobile coming to a cellphone near you (likely in your pocket). Although the video above is in Japanese, I swear I'm not trying to confuse you: Metal Gear Solid Mobile is now available in the States. Hit the jump for details.

Metal Gear Solid Mobile is available exclusively for Verizon Wireless customers. It will be playable on Verizon phones compatible with the Get It Now virtual store. You can pay $5 to play it for a month or shell out $11 to play it indefinitely.

Well, it certainly looks interesting. I'm just a little confused as to why Konami would take the Cell Phone approach. Sure there are more Cell phones in homes than PS2s, but not every person with a cell phone is a gamer. At least with PS2s, Konami could confirm that at least 8 out of 10 PS2s are used for gaming.
