Metal Gear Online Beta Over

May. 13 1:17 AM by Dylan Duarte

So the Metal Gear Online beta is now officially over and gamers jonesing for their next Metal Gear fix need only cry into their pillows for a month. Hit the jump to read me ramble on.

When the beta start date eventually rolled around, I cursed myself for choosing an Xbox 360 a few years ago. Then, when numerous issues arose, which ultimately delayed the beta, I reported on it here on OMG Metal Gear with an ear-to-ear grin. If I can't have it, nobody can.

However, the beta did eventually start and if it wasn't for Niko Bellic and his knack for acquiring automobiles, I would've been the sad sap weeping into his pillow at night.

Hopefully I'll be able to secure a PS3 before or on MGS4's release date and join in on the fun with all of you. For those who did play it, which I'm sure is the majority of you, what were your thoughts? Get me pumped, people. I work best when I'm uncontrollably excited (this is a lie).

I have a ps3 but I didn't play in the beta. I don't like playing unfinished products but still this game is gonig to be freakin awesome.

I thought that the beta was pretty good...I only have a couple of issues. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't replenish your health (Either I didn't know how to do it or I kept missing the life packs). Nothing sucks more than taking someone out only to walk away with a sliver of health...meaning that the next shot that you took was death. My second complaint was that it coincided with GTAIV...I played the beta for like a week and put it on the shelf to collect dust after the behemoth known as GTA came knocking at the door. I'm curious to play the game when it hits the shelves in June...and it'll only be better because there will be a proper instruction manual included!
