The soundtrack to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be hitting stores in Japan later this month, just a couple weeks ahead of the games release. Hit the jump for details.
The soundtrack will consist of 47 songs composed by Harry Gregson-Williams, who also did the score for Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, as well as over 50 movies. The man gets around.
The soundtrack will cost ¥3045, which is about 29 bucks. A US release has not been confirmed, but the first two MGS games saw soundtrack releases in the US, so there is hope.

Umm...maybe I'm wrong, but Harry Gregson-Williams didn't do the soundtrack for the orginal MGS-1...he did the soundtrack for the remake for the GameCube - MGS: The Twin Snakes. Williams is a great composer and I'm looking forward to the soundtrack for MGS4...I wonder if it will beat the soundtrack for MGS3, which I believe is one of the best video game soundtracks ever! I was listening to it the other day and it brought back memories of the game...insane!
Actually, looking into this deeper, it looks like he wasn't involved with MGS1 or Twin Snakes. Thanks for the correction, though.
