Konami Holding Metal Gear Solid 4 Launch Events

Konami wants to make sure that Metal Gear Solid 4 kicks off with a bang so they will be holding special launch events in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. Hit the jump to find out who's going to be there.

Both the Best Buy in West Hollywood and the Virgin Megastore in Time Square will opening their doors shortly before midnight on June 11. The LA location will feature autograph sessions with David Hayter (the voice of Solid Snake), as well as Producer Kenichiro Imaizumi and Associate Producer Ryan Payton. The event going down in New York will have Hideo Kojima himself, along with model Yumi Kikuchi, who served as a template for the enemies that appear in Metal Gear Solid 4 known as the "Beauties."

The shindig happening in San Francisco will go down on the June 14th between 4 and 6pm, so "launch event" isn't the best name for it. However, the event at the Playstation Store at the Metreon will have everyone there with the exception of David Hayter.

US fans, if you were at all jealous of Kojima's London appearance, here's your chance to meet the man.

Damn. Why do California, and New York get everything? Why doesn't Arizona ever get stuff like this?

I mean, come on, we've got the biggest hole in the ground on Earth, tons of poisonous bugs and snakes, Plants with needle sharp spines (some of which shoot said sharp spines), a desert that looks like it's been painted, and an entire area filled with rocks that used to be trees in a forest.

I don't know why they don't com a runnin to do this stuff in AZ.
