In a move that will frustrate a lot of gamers, especially those sharing a Playstation 3 console, Konami is only allowing one free Metal Gear Online character per console. Hit the jump for details.
That's right, I said one free character per console. If you happen to live with a roommate or family member that you share a system with, you'll have to fork over some cash if you both want your own character, even if you both have your own account. The price is $6.99(USD) for three more character slots.
Gamer Node, my source, raises a point in saying that this could reduce the number of botters and farmers. While this is true, I still don't think it comes anywhere close to justifying this decision. This is pretty ridiculous.

I kind of like the idea of only one free character slot. It still is kind of stupid though, Konami should have at least given two free ones. I'm hoping though that they allow us to change our characters outfits, if not then I will be PISSED.
Two free slots is a better idea. Im not the only person who uses the system.
That's pretty damn lame IMO. The sad fact is, this behavior might catch on (even though it kinda has already with the lame ass idea of DLC that I never even bother with).
Wait till EA gets wind of this one. They'll have a field day with the idea.
Seriously, I understand that gaming is expensive for developers, but they don't have to take it out on the consumer by trying to rip them off every chance they get.
