Alright, I was being a bit dramatic, but the latest comment from Konami on the MGO problems doesn't really instill hope. Click on to read it or, if you're a big fan of Metal Gear's online component, you might want to skip this entirely.
"We have been taking numerous corrective measures since the problems initially started, but unfortunately there are no permanent solutions we can announce at this present moment."
This should come as a surprise to no one, as Metal Gear Online has been marred with problems since the beta. Here's to hoping that Konami will find a permanent solution and soon.
At least they're being upfront about it. You can check out an extensive (and ongoing) timeline at their official site.

I haven't played the new MGO, but I did play the one on Subsistence on the PS2. I didn't play it much because I hated the controls. Tell me, are the controls still fubar, or have they been fixed in the PS3 iteration?
Well I have no idea how it controlled in Subsistence multi, but the MGO controls are just like the MGS4 single player controls.
